New Years

We had a great New Years, just hanging out with some close friends. Once again I didn't take any pictures. I wanted to share something that Corey and I would love to strive for this year, "Contentment".

This is Rick Warren's "Lessons in Contentment"
"I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." Philippians 4:11

1. Stop comparing yourself to others - When you compare your life with someone else's, the only place it can lead is toward discontentment. There will always be people who appear to be better off than you, but you don't know their real circumstances.

2. Be grateful for who you are and what you have. - You are unique, God created you to be like nobody else, so why would you want to be anyone else. God is perfect, and you were his perfect choice to be you. Understanding that is a huge step toward being content with your life. And then look at all the things God has given you. So often we allow what we don't have to dominate our focus that we forget the many wonderful things we already have, not only material blessing, but far more important things, such as family and friends.

3. Give yourself to others. - If you will begin giving yourself to others, sharing what things you do have, sharing your time and your talents, you will find yourself learning to be content. Helping others will give you an appreciation for waht you have and who you are, but more importantly, you will find yourself growing content. God designed us to serve and share with others, and until we do that, we will feel great discontent.

4. Focus on things with eternal value. - Think about the things in your life: What will last forever? What will last at least for your lifetime? What will last a few short years, or months, or days? Based on eternal value, what things are most important in your life? Where and with who should you put your most time and energy? By re-organizing your life around eternal priorities, you'll find yourself growing in contentment as you live according to God's design and purpose.

These are just a few things for us to not only think about but take action on this year.

Baby Making Update - December

So I have taken all the Clomid I was instructed to for this cycle and come day 15 I start my period, which is not suppose to happen. So I went and saw my doctor and she said that yes that is not normal, but we will go ahead and start my on my second round of clomid and also do a ultra sound in 4 weeks. The ultra sound is to make sure I don't have endometriosis and at that she would only be able to tell if I was at stage 4 of endometriosis. So we are praying that this month I will make it a complete cycle (32 days) and then also that I ovulate. I just want to know that I am able to conceve and if not Corey and I have already talked about different options in case we need to start looking in that direction. God has been so good to us, I can't thank him enough for giving me a caring and gentle husband whom has held my hand this whole time.

On another note, can I just say how excited I am about the ladies in my life that are pregnant. What a blessing God has given them! I'm excited, stressed, and worried for them all. They are going to be great parents!!

Baby Making Update - November

Before I went to the Cayman Islands I went and had a blood test to see if I ovulated last month. We got the results right before we left and I didn't ovulate. So while we were on vacation we talked about what we wanted to do next. The doctor said that my body might work through this on it's own over the next 1 to 3 years or I could kick start it with medicine. I'm not so sure I'm patient enough to wait 3 more years to have kids and even if I did there is no garentee that my body will cooroperate. So we decided to go into the doctor together and look into the option of going on medicine when we got back. My doctor started me on Clomid to get my overies in gear. So now we just wait and see what happens.

Grande Cayman Island

Corey and I decided to take a trip this year and since my dad wasn't going to use the timeshare this year we decided to take it. We ended up getting the whole place, which means two bedrooms, two baths, and a kitchen and living room. Since we had a whole other bedroom we decided to take Sami with us. It was absolutly beautiful!! The clearest water I have seen so far is my travels and the most expensive food. This is their version of a Coronarita. It was horrible, but I don't like beer either. The best part of the trip was renting this boat for a day. We went to stingray city, snorkling, and to see star fish. It was great because we had the whole boat to ourselves.
This is Sami and I at stingray city. Corey was out there for about 5 minuets and as soon as the stingrays started circling him, he was back to the boat. Probably not a good idea to go to stingray city first maybe we should have eased Corey into the water by going snorkling first

Joni's Getting Married

Joni is one of the people I known the longest out of my friends. Joni and I met in 4th grade and have been friends ever since. I'm so excited that she is married. Here are some pictures of her bachelorette party and wedding.
It had been a long day for me because this was on a Thursday night after I had worked all day and had to go to work the next day. We started out at one of her friends houses and then went to Groovy's. Joni and Ryan are so cute, their wedding was at a vinyard and it was just beautiful. I loved Joni's dress so vintage and so her!
