38 Weeks!!

This will be my last update before Paige arrives. We went to see Dr. B today and I'm 50% effaced!!! WAHOO!! This means we are still scheduled to induce on Monday. I think walking around the fair for a couple of hours helped. After Dr. B told us the news I think Corey and I both froze and were silent. I didn't even bother asking if I was dilated because I was in such shock that we were going to be having a baby in just one week. I'm one of those people that yes I know that I'm pregnant but I don't think it will really hit me that we are going to have a baby till after she is here. It was the same way when we bought a house or when we got married. It truly doesn't sink in with me until after the fact.

So hopefully by this time next week we will have a beautiful baby girl in our arms or will be a couple hours away from that happening. I tend to ball my eyes out when babies are born so be prepared for the puffy eyes in the pictures.

37 Weeks and Counting

I just got back from seeing Dr. B. My blood pressure is still great and Paige's heartbeat is at 144. This was also the first time that Dr. B checked me, and nothing. Paige is not engaged and my cervix isn't thinning yet. If things don't progress by Monday we might move the induce date. I understand that I'm still 3 weeks away from my actual due date but I was kind of hoping that something would be happening even a 1 would be encouraging to me. So we shall continue to walk and Dr. B suggested bouncing if I felt like it would help.

The end of 36 weeks

Tuesday we went to the doctor and everything is still good, Paige's heartbeat was at 150, my blood pressure was excellent, and we are still scheduled for inducing on the 27th.

Something that I have been thinking about lately is food. I can't seem to get enough of it, but yet there are times when I'm just not hungry. I've started thinking that every meal could be my last so I need to make the most of it. When I say my last I just mean that depending on how long labor last I might not get to eat for a day. Why do doctors expect pregnant women who eat every chance they get to all of a sudden not eat anything till after their baby is born. No wonder women are cranky at the hospital they need food (among other reasons). Can you remember what your last meal was?

Corey and I are both ready to go to the hospital. All bags are packed!! Corey suggested that we unpack our bags because me might have jinxed ourselves by being prepared. It might be weird that I'm so ready for Paige to be here but she is full term now and patiently waiting is just not my forte.
