26 Weeks

I can't believe we are at 26 weeks. I have been feeling Paige kick a lot lately. Corey felt her kick for the first time at the end of 22 weeks. This past week Paige was kicking after dinner one time and Corey put is hand on my belly and she kicked so hard his hand moved with my belly. I think he was shocked how intense her kicks were. She is kind of on a retinue of kicking the most and hardest right before lunch and right after dinner. I wonder is this pattern will continue after she is born. Did anyone else have a baby with a pattern in the womb that resembled a pattern after they were born?

This is our last belly picture in this house. I can't believe we move tomorrow!!


Our 26 week appointment was this morning. Paige's heartbeat was at 154!! I got a little bit of a butt chewing about how much weight I gained from Dr. B. I think I'm either going to have a 9 pound baby or all the weight is going to my ankles, or should I say my now developed kankles. I tried to blame it on water weight but she didn't believe that either. Am I really eating that much??

22 Week Check up and other news

I was so excited to be able to hear Paige this morning. I'm thankful that I'm able to share her heartbeat with family. This morning my dad and Mauri we able to come and hear Paige's heartbeat. I know that a heartbeat is just that a heartbeat, but to me it's the most comforting sound ever. Dr. B said that everything is going fine and she still has a strong heartbeat of 153!!

Some people have been asking why my stomach is so flat in the front and I decided to ask Dr. B. She said that things should be filled out in another month. It's most likely because not all my fabulous stomach muscle have relaxed yet, but they will. Other great news is I can ride in the boat, the driver just needs to take it easy. And since I don't like being helpless, the other great news is I can lift as much as I feel comfortable lifting. Which this piece of information is use full for our news.

WE'RE MOVING out of our first house and into another house in Edmond. Every time I think of our house and leaving it I get sad. I always pictured us bring our first child home to this house, but now Paige will have plenty of room to play and grow in. This is how our house looked when we moved in. This is our house now. New windows, paint, roof, landscaping... We love our house, but we look forward to having a house we can grow in.

22 Weeks

Here is Paige and I at 22 weeks.



She is getting bigger and stronger, I have actually started to feel her kick a little in the evenings around 10. Please excuse my belly but here is a picture of Bella trying to feel Paige kick. I had sat next to Corey after feeling Miss Paige kick and he tried to feel her kick but gave up after a couple of minuets. Bella is a lady and sits most of the time with her legs crossed, I didn't pose her this way.



There are a lot of changes going on in our household lately I will post one of those changes here next.

18 Weeks & Mother's Day

Here is my belly at 18 weeks, sorry for the shadow. As you can see my normal shirts aren't quite fitting like they use to.

So I'm posting two weeks late but better late than never.

We went to our 18 week appointment on Tuesday May 4th, to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. A couple of days before any doctors visit I start to getting nervous and excited at the same time. This time I was counting down the days and hours before our appointment. We both took the afternoon off to enjoy our exciting new news. Our ultrasound tech was extremely nice and went over everything she was doing and measuring. I think they wait to tell us the sex till the end on purpose.

Well we are having a baby girl, Paige McKenzie Bolding. She is still measuring for our due date of October 3rd and everything is looking good from what they can tell. We were informed that my Placenta is on the front and not in the back towards my spine. They said it was fine because it was high, but it will just take me longer to feel Paige move and kick. Knowing this helps me not panic because I haven't felt her kick yet. On a side note, my friend Sami also goes to Dr. Barki and told Rhonda our nurse to hand me the pink envelope if it was a girl and the blue one if it was a boy. Her sweet note made me cry, she was so thoughtful to surprise us with a note.

Let me just say I was shocked, I had no clue Paige was a girl, but we could not be more excited. All I could say to Corey when we got in the car was, "What do you do with a girl?" I was a total tomboy growing up because I had an older brother, I just hope I do a great job of raising a girl. She will be well coordinated (thanks to Corey) and will be able to throw a football better than any boy. I just can't wait to meet her.

How we told our parents we were having a girl:
Corey and I (mainly me) wanted to wait to tell our parents what were having until Mother's Day, I thought it would be a great gift for our mom's. Well Corey's parents couldn't do Sunday so we went over there Saturday night. Corey passed out their mother's day cards from Paige before we ate dinner. They were all very excited and shocked that it wasn't a boy. My dad and Mauri were the only one of our parents that thought it was going to be a girl.

After dinner and on our way home we called my mom. I mailed her a card that you can record your voice in. I recorded my voice saying "Happy Mothers Day, we are having a .... I'll call you tonight to tell you" but she didn't get the card til Monday. Out of everyone reactions I thought my mom would be the most dramatic and it kind of was. We told her she was having a grand-daugther and we heard silence. She asked if we were kidding and then there was more silence. I called her later to find out what the deal was and I think for the first time in a long time we made her speechless. My mom kept saying she had Mother intuition and just knew it was a boy. So she was definitely shocked at the time, but couldn't be more excited to have a healthy grand-daugther.

Sunday has now arrived and we went to my parents for lunch and to tell them the news. We were going to do the same things we did for Corey's parents but I left not only the cards at our house, but also my dad's birthday gift. I think it worked out for the better. Mauri was finishing up cooking and everyone was in the kitchen so we just told them. They were really excited.

Now for my Mother's Day! This was the best mother's day ever for me. I actually thought Corey had forgotten about me. I got up to go to the bathroom and Corey said that while I'm up, he thinks Paige left me a note in her rocking chair in her room. Paige's (aka Corey's) letter to me was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better Mother's day note. Paige talked about how much she appreciated me taking care of her and giving her the nutrition that she needed and how my giggles tickle her. Thinking about everything that was written right now is making me tear up. I always knew that Corey was going to make a amazing dad, but this letter just proved it to me even more. At the bottom of the note it said P.S. I know this day is about you, but dad said it would be ok if you went shopping for me today if it's ok with you. I was totally excited to go shopping for Miss Paige. I love to buy girl clothes. So that evening we did just that, we went shop'n!

Hayden's Kindergarten Graduation Program

Hayden has been attending CHA North for the past two years. Today her Kindergarten class did a program demonstrating some of the lessons they learned throughout the year. They recited scripture, all the books of the bible, poems/rhymes, songs, and character qualities that they had learned by memory. I'm so proud of Miss Hayden, she has become quite the little lady.

Lake Weekend

Just what we needed, a weekend at the lake with some great friends. After Addie was born we told the Bockus' that we would get away from the city, laundry, cleaning house and every else that comes along with having a new baby and have a nice relaxing weekend at the lake. Corey and I went down early and spent Friday together doing some exploring.



First stop was at the Bison Outlook. I have been going to Lake Arbuckle since I was in high school and never saw as many Bison as I saw this particular morning.



Corey and I then took a nature trail through Sulphur Springs. The weather was great! Bella hasn't always been great on a leash so we thought this might be a short walk, but after one good disciplining action she stayed between Corey and I the whole time and didn't choke herself on the leash like she would normally by running ahead of us.




Bella's favorite part of the weekend was playing with the flying squirrel in the back yard.




Miss Addie did great all weekend!!

A Hairy Story & 16 Weeks

This might be TMI for some people so beware. I will preface my story by first saying that most people have peach fuzz on their tummy that you don't even notice, a side effect of being pregnant is that this peach fuzz that was once unnoticeable has now become noticeable. I woke up this morning and while I was getting dressed I noticed that my peach fuzz (lets still call it peach fuzz because I'm praying it will go away after Baby Bolding is born, and saying I have a hairy belly just grosses me out) on the left side of my belly was standing straight up and the peach fuzz on the right side was laying down. Their was a distinct line right down the middle of my belly. I think Baby Bolding was creating static that morning, because I could not get the peach fuzz to lay down. Another hairy weird thing is my leg hair has now stopped growing at the rapid pace it once was. Amazing how my prenatal pills are making my head hair and finger nails grow like crazy but my leg hair is not taking part, which I greatly appreciate.

Now onto Baby Bolding update. I had my 16 week appointment yesterday and everything looked great. Baby Bolding's heartbeat was at 163 and I'm still measuring good. I however didn't gain but .6 pounds. I'm going to work on eating a little more every meal. Dr. Barki informed me I shouldn't start to feel the baby kick till 20 weeks, which is also when my placenta will start moving up towards my belly button. I am so excited about our next appointment because we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I'm starting to think it's a boy, but maybe that's because everyone else thinks it's going to be a girl. I'm tired of using the word "it" or "baby" and I'm just ready to call baby by name.
